"Tom de Kort's ethereal photographs can be seen to depict the ghost of both light and movement. He captures solo figures traversing busy cityscapes with an eight-second exposure. His careful control of light renders the surrounding material world unrecognisable, leaving only an essence of the figure. They evoke a sense of solitude and time passing."
